Marcia McDermott – FC CASA Technical Advisor
Marcia has had a long and rich career in soccer as a player, coach and leader. In 1994 she started the soccer program at Northwestern University and took the team to the NCAA tournament in just three years. She left Northwestern in 2001 to coach the Carolina Courage in the professional league, WUSA. In 2002 the Courage won both the regular season and the post-season championship, known as the Founders Cup. She moved into the front office in 2003 and served as the Asst. General Manager of the Courage. In 2006 she joined the Executive Committee of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America; she served as President in 2010 and concluded her service at the end of 2011. From 2008 through 2010 she led the Chicago Red Stars of the Women’s Professional Soccer league (WPS) serving as the General Manager. In 2011 she was appointed as an Assistant Coach on the United States Women’s National team.
Andy Zamora – U-10 Age Group Director
Andy Zamora is in his second season with FC CASA in charge of our three U-10 girls teams (CASA 02, CASA 02 Royal and CASA 02 White). Andy has been around the sport of soccer since early childhood. A graduate of St. John’s High School (1994-1998) Andy was a four year Varsity Player and a Gatorade 1st Team All-American (1987-88) as well as an All-Met 1st team player. Andy went on to play at the University of Maryland (1988-92) and was named team captain in 1992. After college Andy worked in a variety of coaching roles with the University of Maryland, Next Level Soccer Academy, Gaithersburg High School Boy’s/Girl’s Varsity coach (1993-1994), Damascus Soccer Club (2004-2006) and FC Rockville Soccer Club coach and Director (2007-2009). Andy played Semi-Pro soccer from 1992-1996 “A” League with the Virginia Royals where he captained the team and won the 1996 US National Championship.
Billy Warren – Goalkeepers’ coach
At the professional level, Billy is currently the goalkeeper coach for Montserrat’s National Team. He has prepared keepers for international tournaments such as Digicel and World Cup qualifiers. Billy has over 25 years of experience coaching goalkeepers of all levels. He has also played and coached for such teams as Tolucaof the Mexican 1st Division, the Washington Stars, Maryland Bays, Washington Diplomats, DC United, DC United’s Youth Program, Southwestern Youth Association Academy, Potomac Academy and Brit-Am Soccer.
Billy Warrens experience on the football field centers around his ability to not only play in the goal but produce outstanding goalkeepers. He is the goalkeeper coach for Sherwood High School and was part of the coaching staff during their 2004 and 2005, 4A State Championship title seasons. He has coached both boys and girls varsity teams at local high schools. At the collegiate level, he worked with the goalkeepers at the University of Maryland, Shenandoah University, Montgomery College at Rockville and Strayer College of Baltimore.
Billy currently holds his C license from the U.S.S.F.. He holds a Football Teachers Certificate as well his Preliminary Badge from Northern Ireland. Billy also holds a certificate in goalkeeping instruction from the Scottish Football Association. He has worked with the Cayman Island National Team goalkeepers, Northern Ireland School Boys U-12 thru U-14, the U-16 National Team as well as professional clubs in Northern Ireland, Guatemala and Mexico.

Frans Aarts – Coach
Frans is a native of the Netherlands and has a wealth of soccer experience: coaching, training, and organizing camps, clinics, teams, and tournaments throughout Europe and the United States. Frans moved to the United States in June 2005. Frans has coached for prestigious clubs such as FC Etzella (Director of Coaching) in Luxembourg, Bethesda Arsenal (nationally ranked U18) in the US, and has served as the Director of Youth Programs for Toca Juniors FC based out of Potomac, Maryland. Frans and his wife, Marie, live in Rockville, Maryland.

Fabian Vega – U-14 Gilrs Coach
Fabian Vega is in his second year with FC CASA coaching the CASA 98 U-14 girls team. Originally from Callao Peru, Fabian played for their First Division team Sport Boys and Deportivo Municipal, and trained and played with the Peruvian National team. While in the US, Fabian played professionally for several A league teams, such as the Long Island Rough Riders, Minnesota Thunder and Maryland Mania. He also trained with DC United. At the Youth Travel Level, Fabian spent much of the last decade in New Jersey coaching at Mount Laurel United Soccer Club and Pittsgrove Soccer Club. While at Mt. Laurel, his Strikers U-15 team finished in third place at the US Youth Soccer National Championships. Many of Fabian’s players went on to play at the collegiate level including Brittney Ratcliffe currently a Freshman at the University of Virginia and Nikki Adams who will be attending the University of Delaware in the Fall.
